How do I choose the padel racket materials for my brand?
There are three types of materials you can choose from for the surface of your rackets:
- Glass fiber
recommended for control, medium-low resistance over time, suitable for beginner rackets - Carbon
widely used, high resistance over time, suitable for intermediate and advanced levels of play - Kevlar
trendy material, high resistance over time, suitable for a professional level of play
As for the internal rubber of the rackets it is possible to choose between two materials:
- FOAM rubber
polyethylene foam, medium-low durability, suitable for beginner rackets - EVA rubber
greater control, high resistance over time, suitable for intermediate and advanced levels of play
Padel players in Italy mainly use padel rackets in 3K, 12K or 18K carbon. The difference between these types of carbon lies in the interweaving of the fibres: a higher number (for example 18K) indicates a tighter interweaving of the fibres, therefore indicating a more rigid and impactful surface, devoted to a more attacking game; a lower number (for example 3K) indicates a less tight interweaving of fibers, therefore a softer surface, useful for greater control.
How to make the surface of the racket plates?
You can finish racket faces in several ways:
- Smooth matte

- Smooth glossy with visible carbon fibers (carbon squares)
- Sandblasted (rough to facilitate the effects of the shots)
